Working with a newborn baby is wonderful. It is most important as a therapist to get the newborn’s permission to work with it. This is done by looking into the babies eyes and letting my energy flow. So much of the work with a baby is done with intention and love.

When a baby is born, breathing is initiated. The pressure that the lungs put on the spinal column starts the craniosacral rhythm. This rhythm is a hydraulic pumping system for the cerebral spinal fluid within the brain and spinal cord. The enormous pressure at birth, the fear of the unknown, and the trauma of a vacuum extraction, forceps delivery or an Emergency Cesarean Section can cause problems which, if not rectified, can influence the child’s behaviour in later life. CranioSacral Therapy can give them the best start in life.

CST can also be beneficial for colic, feeding and sleeping problems, hyperactivity, cerebral palsy, autism, clumsiness, biting and learning dificulties such as Dyslexia and Dyscalclia.

All children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
